Philly Finds

There are great things in Philadelphia that out way the bad and sometimes you have to dig deep to find the really really good ones. Here are just a few of the Gems that Philly has to offer.
  • Favors For U - They make Custom Diaper Cakes, Bay Shower Gifts, Baby Shower Favors and have a good supply of Baby Shower games. Most of their items are custom made and they adhere to quality not quantity.
  • Gooey Louie's - Want a really good cheese steak or hoagie but don't want the usual from Wawa or Quiznos, then look no further. Here is were you'll find that taste and quality find you taste buds and they are gonna ask for more.
  • Spirit of Philadelphia - Step away from the hum drum dinner and a movie and experience dinning with flare on the water. When dinner is over, stand on deck and feel the wind and take in the relaxing atmosphere.
  • Please Touch Museum - Kids and be kids here. Exhibits that allow the little one the chance to touch and have as much fun as they can handle, with your supervision of course.
  • Franklin Institute - Were else can you take a walk through a beating heart, get on a train and visit exhibits that travel around the world. Most of these can be touched too.
  • Constitution Center - Learn the history of Philadelphia and walk through exhibits that bring it all to life, without being boring.
  • Carousel Kids Preschool - Your child will be shown the best of care while at summer camp or preschool. At the end of the day the children are so happy, they don't want to leave.
  • Penns Landing - Ice Cream Festivals, Free Movies and Special Events abound. There so much to do and it is spaced out nicely for you to enjoy on your visit without the stress of thinking you missed something.
  • Mummers Museum - A staple of Philadelphia that shows our pride and love for the city.

Looking for a Contractor in Pa.. Here is a place to look

Looking for a Contractor is easy for me because there is more than one in the family, starting with WH Construction. I also try to do things myself but sometimes you have to break down and get an expert. KYW1060 posted an article that Contractors in PA must be registered with the state and that information can be found online at the Attorney Generals Site. The site has company descriptions, phone number and location and currently contains over 26,000 listings. It may not be the end all of your search, but its a good start.

Here is a link to the original article at KYW160 for a good read
